DESCRIPTION:Jessye DeSilva seamlessly blends theatrical pop elements with
traditional folk and roots music to form her piano-driven alt-americana so
und. She infuses hope into songs about religious alienation\, mental healt
h struggles\, and societal injustice to create a uniquely queer and unholy
ruckus. Jessye’s new album Glitter Up the Dark has been hailed as “
… one of the great Boston alt-rock records of 2026” by the Boston Glob
 e. The album was produced by Aaron Lee Tasjan and incorporates Eighties po
p and Nineties alternative flourishes to the stately Americana and country
-rock sounds of 2023’s Renovations and 2022 debut Landscapes\, which ear
ned her a nomination for Americana Artist of the Year at the 2022 Boston M
usic Awards. No Depression says “Comparisons to Elton John and Brandi Ca
rlile are easy — DeSilva clearly takes a page from these idols\, anchori
ng [her] songs in pop melody juggernauts\, gauzy textures\, and vocal brav
ado.” Nashville Scene named her a 2023 Artist To Watch\, saying “DeSil
va could inject new life into a genre that could definitely use a little m
ore pretzel logic.”https://jessyedmusic.comHazel Basil is a guitarist an
d vocalist based in Northampton\, MA. Her music revolves around the streng
th she finds in community\, introspection\, and self-acceptance. Hazel dis
covered her love for the guitar in 2016\, teaching herself fingerstyle fol
k tunes and classic rock licks. After realizing she was transgender in 202
2\, Hazel felt an immense surge of love for herself\, her community\, and
music\, and has been working to bring friends and strangers alike together
over a mutual love of music ever since. Hazel has performed at venues acr
oss New England\, including the Iron Horse\, the Academy of Music\, and Cl
ub Passim. She is also known locally for her work hosting monthly queer op
en mics at the Parlor Room in Northampton\, MA. Hazel hopes that the self-
acceptance and introspection she encourages through her work leads audienc
es to find more space for complexity\, joy\, and compassion. In the face o
f oppression\, our joy is more important than ever.https://www.hazelbasilm
